About me

Hello, I'm Nikolai, an amateur street and documentary photographer based in Oslo, Norway. I first discovered street photography back in 2018 and have continued to love this genre within photography ever since. It's about capturing the unscripted beauty of everyday life, without staging the scene. It started when I came across Joel Meyerowitz. He talked about being present and observing life, and determining what to put in the frame. This really hit home for me as it’s about being more present in life; and I think back to being a kid when we would explore our surroundings and discover interesting objects or places.
